Melanie has been behind the chair for 10 years. She specializes in custom hair extensions, spending the last 7 years being certified in both tape-in hair and weft hand tied extensions. She attended Kao Academy in NYC to become a certified Master Colorist. Her color services have an emphasis on blonde and dimensional lived-in color.

What values or goals do you strive for with every client that sees you?

I am all about consistency with my work. I strive to achieve my clients ‘hair goals’ with every single appointment, but I am always honest about what results I think are attainable. I can promise you will LOVE your hair. Sometimes though, we can’t reach your goal in one session without compromising the integrity of your hair. In that case, we will work together to set up a schedule to get you the hair you’ve always dreamed of! 

What about your personal life?

I live in Logan Square and am a real hobbyist. I write music and sing in a band with my husband, and most recently picked up painting with watercolor. I paint florals and botanicals, and I’ve found that my knowledge with hair color theory has translated beautifully to art. I love interior design as well. My husband and I love to travel, backpack, hike, bike and eat! I have a dog named Bird and a cat named Jafar.
